Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Lubbock, TexasWe are grateful that God has brought you to our website today and we invite you to join us in worship this Sunday. Rediscover the Sabbath and hear anew Jesus’ gracious words.

Gloria Dei” or “Glory to God”, the name this congregation chose for itself, is not only a name but a way of life. Please join us for worship and all activities at Gloria Dei.

We bring glory to God through our prayer, praise and thanksgiving.

We bring glory to God when we encourage one another and when we serve as living examples of love to one another.

We bring glory to God when we spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God and follow Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations.

Please join us for worship and all activities at Gloria Dei.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers".

You are invited to come on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. as Pastor Jeff teaches a course on the New Testament.

The class is based on The Great Course’s DVD, 24 lectures on the NT presented by Professor Bart D.

Erhman,  Ph.D., M.Div., from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The lectures are presented

from the perspective of a historian as Dr. Erhman explains how, when, why and by whom the New

Testament was written. He draws on biblical scholarship and recent archaeological discoveries to

bring context to the history of the New Testament and the early Christian church.

The 30 minute DVDs are informative and the discussion surrounding the DVD is always interesting.

Come join us.
